Used Dodge Charger Offers Bold Design, Powerful Engine Choices

The used Dodge Charger represents American performance vehicles at their best—loud, proud, and powerful. The new Charger, now available at Bloomington Dodge dealerships, offers a variety of engine choices and an aggressively bold exterior design that fans of car chase movies are bound to love.

A used Dodge Charger had few tweaks to the Charger’s design and reconfigured the trim levels of the years. The all-wheel-drive version is now known as the GT, while the base model has been rebadged as the SXT. The base model now includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a 7-inch touchscreen, as standard equipment. The Charger’s SRT Hellcat trims got a new grille design and new finishes for the wheels and brake calipers for used.

Exterior & Performance

The Charger has a stand-out exterior appearance, full of sweeping bold lines. The color scheme is pretty eye-catching, too, with colors like Go Mango, Maximum Steel, and White Knuckle, among others.

Consumers have lots of engine choices with the Charger. The base engine is a 292-horsepower V6, and drivers can also opt for three powerful V8s, ranging from 370 horsepower to the 707 horsepower hellcat.

The base engine gets the best fuel economy—19 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway—but, let’s face it, who buys a Charger for the gas mileage?  Performance is what you’re after. The 6.4-liter V8 can go from zero to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds, while the Hellcat hits the mark in 4.1 seconds.

The Charger is fun to drive and handles well. Somewhat-heavy steering provides a feeling of stability on the road. Brakes are robust and provide ample stopping power.

Interior

Consumers are often so taken with the performance offered by the Charger that they forget it’s also a large sedan. The Charger can comfortably seat five people in its spacious interior. The front and back seats offer plenty of room to stretch out, and seats are supportive and comfortable. Interior surfaces are a little plain, but they are of good quality.

The new Charger also has a pretty generous amount of cargo room. The trunk offers 16.5 cubic feet of cargo space—plenty of room for some vacation luggage. The rear seats also fold for additional cargo space, if needed.

Some standard features of the new Charger include keyless entry and ignition, a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, a power-adjustable driver seat, two USB ports, Bluetooth, Dodge’s UConnect infotainment system, and more. Upgrading to higher trim levels gets you even more great features, and the Charger’s Technology Pack provides the latest active safety features.

The new Charger earned a perfect five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
